This week I was given 2 albums to review for Dead Press Webzine, and it was quite an interesting experience. The first was 'The Octopus' by Amplifier, an alt-post-rock-prog band. And secondly, well, Jessie J. As you've probably guessed from all the music on here and the long list of 'Songs Of The Week' i'm not a massive mainstream pop music fan, but I gave it my best shot! Also, Oceansize. I've known about them for a while but never really given them a fair listen. Recently they split up however, so I thought I'd look them up out of curiosity. I've only really scratched the surface but already there are some absolute tunes cominng through, and here's one:
