The Bronx- 'Heart Attack American'
As of yesterday I have the image of Matt Caughthran's furious, sweating face branded indelibly on my brain, as he lept, mic in hand and eyes wide, in to the crowd at Hevy Fest. The last act that I watched on the final day of the festival, The Bronx's show was a true exercise in pure, scuzzy punk that left my ears ringing and my body bruised. I didn't know any of the words and I definitely don't know how to 2-step, but I still had a fucking great time listening to their music, and I'll definitely be checking out more of their stuff in the future.
